8x8” sculptural acrylic paint floral on gallery edge canvas 

I put a lot of thought into the background of this piece and in the end, decided to work to create a pond-like appearance. Depending on the lighting, it either appears midnight black, or creek green with subtle blue undertones. I used a specific acrylic medium to achieve a semi translucence, reminiscent of actual waters. As always, quite difficult to photograph and even prettier in person.
